MTNL launched new MNP offer in Mumbai to attract disappointed users of Uninor. Check inside for details.
MTNL (Mahanagar Telecom Nigam Limited) has played a huge gamble to attract the disappointed Uninor costumers by launching some great packages. According to a source from MTNL, they want to grab as much of those 1.8 million Uninor Mumbai subscribers who were very much disappointed following an order from Supreme court which forced Uninor to close the Mumbai based operations overnight.
There has not been any official announcement by MTNL that they have taken this step to grab the customers of Uninor, but launching a scheme at this time makes it pretty clear.
According to this new plan, any customer currently on Uninor or any other service provider can opt to port to MTNL, at a very attractive rate.
As a new customer, anyone can pay Rs 25 and get the benefits worth Rs 101 (Rs 10 for SIM and 91 FRC). This plan will give them 91 Rs balance, 300 Local and National SMS valid for 30 days, 100 MB 3G data, and 91 minutes of video calling which can be used only within the MTNL network. Call charges for the customers will be 1p/sec for voice as well as video calls across the country. According to MTNL, this will be a limited time offer valid till 31st March 2013.
